This is a Canon printer that can be used for both large and small offices. Besides being a printer it is also a digital copier. It has a high copy speed of 15 pages per minute with excellent resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi using Canon ImageClass D320 Compatible Printer Toner. Copying on legal sized paper is slightly slower at 12.5 ppm. The copy functions include zooming to 200 percent. The zoom itself will change by 1 percent increments.

This printer runs off of a single cartridge system and is much easier then having to replace two different cartridges at different times. This single cartridge system makes it very easy and economical to operate. Paten glass is used for the copying surfaces and you have the option of reducing and enlarging the image up to 200% when copying.

All parts and services are covered under a one-year warranty. This a great printer option if you are looking to upgrade your current printer and want the convenience of two in one, as you will have more space. Other items found in the box are a cassette/multi-purpose tray, documentation kit, software CD-ROM, a full size ImageClass D320 Compatible Printer Cartridge and the power cord.

This Canon printer has other printing and copying options besides reduction and enlargement. It is possible to electronically collate printouts and you can also bypass the regular input tray by using the multi-stack bypass feeder. This printer has some networking capabilities and uses a USB connection. A USB cord does not come with the box.

The following are a few tips on installation and usage. The printer can very easily be installed with the Windows 98 operating system. However later Windows operating systems required some searching, as the printer does not automatically start. You will have to manually point to the correct NTF files and this can be very confusing and difficult for those not computer savvy.

When printing large documents the printer will jam but the amount of paper jams is not more then average for printers. If the printer is not in a well-ventilated spot the paper will curl as the built up heat is affecting the paper. This printer does two sided copies and this requires manual feeding into the machine. Ultimately many of the problems noticed by owners are the same you would occur with other printers in the same class.

Due to the single cartridge the toner for this printer is less expensive then most other toner for laser printers. The laser printer works by projecting a laser image of the document onto a drum that attracts toner. The toner melts and transfers the image to the paper. It should be noted that this printer has issues printing highly detailed or complicated graphics.

This printer with the addition of Canon ImageClass D320 Toner, is the prowess product you deserve. All offices know Canon ImageClass Toner is a must. Continue shopping wisely when you replace your Toner.
