Constantly getting sick while trying to get in shape is not fun and totally unnecessary. Unfortunately, a single bout of sickness can set you back for weeks.

Constantly getting sick while trying to get in shape is not fun and totally unnecessary. Unfortunately, a single bout of sickness can set you back for weeks.

So here is how to prevent sickness from slowing down your fitness progress:

1. Eat complete nutrition from all the food groups: Excluding food groups is a sure fire way to stress your body until it gets sick. Because of the way food groups interact with each other, you can’t single them out and expect to stay healthy.

2. Don’t lose weight too quickly: If the weight is flying off it’s probably not fat. It’s a mix of fat and muscle. And if you are breaking down muscle for energy, your body will enter a very negative state in terms of immunity.

3. Stay very clean: Most people are unaware that their bodies are under a constant state of war against germs. This is always happening even if you don’t feel sick. And by staying super clean, you give your body a break so that it can have more resources for repair and recovery.

4. Don’t forget about your flu shot: It takes a couple minutes to get a flu shot and it can save you weeks of agonizing pain. And if you have an acute fear of needles, simply ask your doctor or nurse to rub the site of injection for at least a minute to numb the area.

5. Have a pre workout snack: Eating some carbs before you exercise is a great way to not only burn more fat, but to reduce levels of stress hormones. Exercising on an empty stomach is a horrible idea that will compromise intensity, recovery and immune health.

6. Have carbohydrates immediately after exercise: You need to do this for two reasons. First, you want to take advantage of your body’s ability to suck up extra carbs during the short post workout window. Second, the carbs will bring down exercise-induced stress hormones that reduce your immunity.

7. Take light symptoms seriously: You need to rest even if you have mild symptoms of impending sickness. Stay away from heavy training if you have a runny nose, body aches or any pains. Your body can only handle so much stress.

Staying healthy during your quest to get in shape is extremely important. After all, it only takes a single bout of sickness to take you out of the game for weeks!

Are you aware that 3500 calories is one pound of fat? If you want to lose one pound in a week, you have to cut out 3500 calories, so to lose five pound in a week, you have to cut out 17,500 calories.

Are you aware that 3500 calories is one pound of fat? If you want to lose one pound in a week, you have to cut out 3500 calories, so to lose five pound in a week, you have to cut out 17,500 calories.

Seriously, if your average diet is 2000 calories per day, which is enough to keep you healthy, you only take in 14,000 calories for the entire week. You can take off one pound, but that won’t work to lose five pounds in one week, because you don’t have anything to keep you alive. Losing five pounds means burning everything you eat in a week, plus 500 calories that you don’t have every day. Or don’t eat for nine days. Obviously, if your goal is five pound per week, you can’t do it by diet alone.

Here’s what will happen when you stop eating: Your body recognizes that there is no food and goes into hibernation mode. This is not a conscious decision, it’s involuntary, like your heartbeat or breathing. The first thing it does is gives up water, and that means protein, which is 75% water, and constitutes lean muscle mass. After it depletes your water, it will start to burn carbohydrates, which causes you to store fat. In other words, you will start to gain weight. This is a metabolism thing, where your body reacts by slowing down the burn rate, and any food you take in is immediately sent to the fat storage unit. You have to change your metabolism or you won’t lose weight, you’ll put more on.

If you can’t diet off the weight then it stands to reason that you have to work on increasing your metabolism. Normally a diet gets you to take in fewer calories and what you burn slowly reduces your size. Actually, you are just losing water. As your metabolism adjusts, you stop losing and pretty soon you start to gain again. You are in hibernation. Any food you take in is converted immediately to fat to help you through this period of starvation. Store fat and slow down. A bear can sleep though an entire winter without eating.

One thing is for sure: Body Builders don’t eat a lot of Big Macs and Whoppers. They have a totally different diet, and couple with some simple exercises, they control their metabolisms. If you like that sort of look, they are usually pretty hot, too. They eat like they will never have another meal. For all the food they take in, they should weight 400 pounds, but they don’t. They have learned to speed up their metabolism, so what they eat is going into muscle building, not fat storing.

By now you must understand that you can’t just diet and make fat go away, so you have to make a choice, a complete lifestyle choice. You want to lose weight? Start with a little exercise to get your metabolism kicked up. THEN start your diet. After that you increase your exercise. By starting after you have increased your metabolism, the whole thing will be more effective, and the pounds will come off faster and more easily. The lifestyle change is more likely to be permanent.

Understand that you put your weight on because you don’t burn everything that you eat. You store some of it, and over time, that weight builds up. Problem is, storage is driven by what you eat and that consumption is mostly about water. Protein is 75% water. When you go on a diet, after you clear out the water you burn protein from your storehouse.

You can’t just diet fat off because your body will give away all of it’s protein to protect itself, so you start to live on carbohydrates- and gain weight. When you lower your food intake, you lose protein, and this loss lowers your burn rate.

When your diet istaking forever, remember that 3500 calories is one pound.

The rapid increase in obesity across the country has resulted in a number of serious health problems. Many of these health problems can deteriorate a person\’s quality of life and even shorten a person\’s life. One such health condition that is made worse when obese is asthma. Studies are now showing that there is a link between asthma and morbid obesity. For people who are suffering from severe obesity, lap band surgery has been shown to be an effective method of weight loss that reduces instances of severe asthma attacks.

Obesity has been proven to be a risk factor for such diseases as heart disease, some types of cancer, and diabetes. Now, research studies are revealing that obesity is a risk factor for asthma. For instance, studies now show the risk for developing asthma increases when there is a large increase in weight. When a person is seriously overweight, their breathing becomes shallow because their lungs do not expand as much as it would if one were a normal healthy weight. As well, in obese individuals, there is a chronic inflammation of the lungs which reduces the airway passage. The inflammation takes place in the fatty tissue. A narrower airway passage also means the airways will remain blocked when breathing normally which reduces oxygen exchange. The airways will contract more causing more asthma symptoms. Narrow airways in obese asthmatics are more likely to stay closed during normal breathing which results in reduced oxygen exchange which puts one in a higher risk category for pulmonary hypertension. As well, obese people are more prone to sleep apnea and gastroesophageal reflux disease which can make asthma worse.

When a person suffers from obesity, they tend to have more severe asthma problems than those who are not obese. With a weight loss surgery such as lap band surgery, there can be considerable improvement for people suffering from asthma. With the loss of the excess fat, lung function will improve, inflammation will subside, the air passages will open up, and people will breathe better. As well, they will need less medication and there will be fewer trips to the hospital due to a severe asthma attack.

Lap band surgery has become a popular weight loss procedure to treat obesity because it is minimally invasive with few side effects. As well as having proven positive health results, the procedure normally takes less than an hour and the patient recovery time is short with most patients going home just a few hours after the procedure. It is also the only reversible option and post operative lap band adjustments are made without additional surgery.

During home recovery, the patient will have simple diet to follow as they learn how to eat healthy and the correct amounts of food. Lap band surgery is a great option for those suffering from obesity and serious health problems such as asthma. When considering any type of surgery, it is important to consult with a physician to learn about the benefits and risks involved with the procedure.

The CIBO clinic\’s adjustable gastric band offers the safest, sustainable results in weight loss by reducing the amount of food your stomach can hold. Despite the lab band cost, there are many advantages. You can lose weight without hunger and feel full longer with support before and after your laparoscopic surgery. Read more about the experience in Lapband blog.

Learning how to tone up arms for the first time can be somewhat difficult. Especially, if your source of information and guidance is dubious. And many women are lost amongst the sea of information.

Learning how to tone up arms for the first time can be somewhat difficult. Especially, if your source of information and guidance is dubious. And many women are lost amongst the sea of information.

I can tell because of all the emails I receive.

And don’t be too hard on yourself. After all, a lot of this confusion is created by questionable marketing that will make your purse lighter while your arms get heavier.

Thus, here is some misinformation to avoid when learning how to tone up your arms:

1. Exercising on a daily basis is the best approach. This is a great way to get an overuse injury. Please do not try to do this. After all, once you tweak a tendon or ligament, healing will take a very long time. You body needs proper rest.

2. Something is wrong if one arm is stronger than the other. Nothing could be further from the truth, this is perfectly normal. Over time, this discrepancy will begin to fade. Just make sure that you do unilateral movements.

3. 15 rep sets provide maximum arm toning. Well, not really. You do not have to do 15 repetitions for every single set you do. Instead, aim for a more varied number of repetitions so that you target all of your muscle fibers.

4. If I get tired I should stop. Stop if you feel sick, otherwise keep on going. Bear in mind that when you push yourself really hard, your body secretes hormones that incinerate arm fat. There is no other way to get these hormones flowing.

5. Something is wrong since I’m sore 2-3 days after working out. This is perfectly normal and it’s called delayed onset of muscle soreness. In fact, this is a positive sign since it indicates that you had a tough workout. And it will decrease as your diet improves and your recovery abilities improve.

Figuring out how to tone up arms does not have to be difficult. In fact, if you stay away from all the misinformation out there, it’s much easier than you think. And the key here is to apply information immediately. Do not wait until tomorrow!

About the author: Sought after writer, Katherine Crawford M.S., a Harvard fitness expert and former flabby arms casualty, instructs women on how to lose arm fat.
The sheer number of emails I receive on how to get slim arms is insane. I firmly believe that women are more confused than ever when it comes to getting the lean and sexy arms of their dreams.

The sheer number of emails I receive on how to get slim arms is insane. I firmly believe that women are more confused than ever when it comes to getting the lean and sexy arms of their dreams.

After all, endless marketing and endless magic pills have created a state of mass confusion. One day you’ll see a contraption that goes around your arms, another day you’ll see a pill that burns fat overnight.

Thus, this article will hopefully clear up some of the confusion that has been so commonplace.

So here are some of the most common questions and answers I receive about slim arms:

1. How long should I wait before expecting to see results? This is a tough question to answer because it all depends on the cause of your flabby arms. If water is too blame, you could see results overnight. If lots of arm fat is too blame, you could see results in months.

2. Should my workouts last 2 hours? The shorter the better. You see, when you exercise for a short period of time with lots of intensity, your body secretes a huge amount of arm fat burning hormones. So keep it short and hard. This is the best way to get slim arms.

3. Will bench dips help me get slim arms? I tell all my clients to never do bench dips. The risk is simply not worth it. You see, bench dips put a lot of stress on your shoulder joint. There are much more effective exercises for getting slim arms that don’t come with the risk.

4. I heard that doing 50 repetitions per set will get me faster results, is this true? You will be in a lot of pain, and unfortunately, you will not get faster results. You are better served doing a wide range of repetitions to activate all the muscle fibers in your arms.

There is a lot of advice floating around out there on how to get slim arms. I suggest finding a reliable source of unbiased information and rapidly applying what you’re learning. Don’t wait for the stars to be perfectly aligned before taking action. Doing so will take your sexy arm dreams to the grave!

Obtain free information on the best movement exercises for flabby arms immediately by going to Katherine Crawford’s M.S. website Sleeveless in 7. And uncover how to get sexy and lean arms in no time by visiting her blog about how to get rid of arm flab right now!
