If you really stop to think about it successful e-mail marketing isn’t one of the most simple marketing strategies out there to try to tackle much less master it. We can make it sound simple and easy to master but once you start doing it you will find out real quick that it is not. The whole point behind e-mail marketing and advertising would be to get your message into the inbox of as many people as possible. It would even be easier if you can just have other people do your job for you. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you post an e-mail out to 100 readers and have those 100 individuals send it to three individuals each? All of the sudden you’ve tripled your efforts and not lifted a finger past the initial e-mail that you sent out. Now that’s some powerful stuff there. That’s what viral marketing is all about.

So, how do you get your e-mails to go viral? The solution behind viral marketing is to give your readers some thing that they can really sink their teeth into. If they like what you post them, they will be more than willing to post your e-mail to their family and friends. Successful viral e-mail marketing and advertising is all about getting your information to as many people as possible by having other people ‘spread the word’, so give your readers what they actually want.

And what do they want? Well, recent studies have shown that web users forward e-mails with humorous content more frequently than any other kind of e-mail. If your e-mail message makes an individual laugh, then there’s a fantastic chance that they will forward it to their friends and everybody else in their e-mail address book!

Now if you were to think long enough the chance of coming up with an example of the real funny email that you’ve received within the last day or so should be fairly good. With this in mind think of how powerful this strategy that I have just told you about could be with your e-mail marketing and advertising business.

Keep in mind the strategy that you are going to use here and think about the amount of people that this one e-mail is going to reach. I know the individuals that post emails to me have very large lists of people that they post to. I’ve saved humorous pictures that made me laugh out loud that can work with this technique like a charm.

You will just have to use a little creativity so as to be able to benefit from this powerful method known as viral e-mail marketing. Some starter ideas would be to use a funny comic strip with your email messages. Or you could generate a humorous cartoon that pokes fun at social ideas and post a link to your website inside the corner of the cartoon. There are so many ways that you can incorporate this strategy so as to be able to benefit from this in your business.
